Call for manuscripts on ductile shear zones in an edited volume:

We invite you to submit manuscripts for consideration for publication in the following co-edited volume under preparation: “Ductile Shear Zones: from Micro- to Meso-scales” (Blackwell Publishers)

  The edited volume will consist of, but may not restrict to, the following three 'parts'.

1. Ductile shear zones, shear fabrics and microstructures

2. Kinematics, rheology, shear heating and thermal relaxation

3. Meso-scale shear zones and applied aspects

We wish to receive manuscripts till around June 2014 and publish around December 2014 following peer review process. Both original- and review articles are welcome.

Call for Contribution: “Atlas of Structural Geology” (Editor: Soumyajit Mukherjee; Publisher: Elsevier)

Please consider to submit spectacular/eye-catching/unique/rare field and micro-scale colour photographs and their captions, within 200 words, on deformation related features in the following edited volume under preparation.Contact Soumyajit at:    soumyajitm@gmail.com   for details. Structural and metamorphic/igneous/sedimentary duel aspects are welcome! A brief explanation within the caption on what makes the object unique is to be explained. Previously published photos will not be preferred. A maximum of four photos and captions per person will be considered. Captions may contain references. The kind of snaps looked for are similar to 'Geosites' of the 'International Journal of Earth Sciences', or the 'Photo of the Month' of the 'Journal of Structural Geology'.

We often take interesting geoscientific snaps as parts of other studies. If related to deformation, this is a scope to publish those! Elsevier has agreed to publish photos in colour version.
