Would you
like to organise your own fieldwork but aren’t sure where to start?
Fieldwork
is an essential component of research but often we only get one chance to get
it right. This is especially true when travelling to remote locations (eg. the
Arctic and Antarctica).
If you
would like to pick up tips and advice on planning and implementing a
successful field season or are looking for inspiration then please join us
on Tuesday 29th April from 19:00-20:00 in Room
B7 at the EGU conference centre for a panel discussion
on Successful
Fieldwork.
The panel
members who will be sharing their experiences and answering your questions
are Andreas Richter (University of Vienna), Bryn Hubbard (Aberystwyth
University), John Connelly (Lund University) and Marc Oliva (University of
Lisbon).
The event
is organised by the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS) and
the Permafrost Young Research Network (PYRN).
All are
welcome to attend and we look forward to seeing you in Vienna!

any questions about this event please contact Ruth Hindshaw (ruth.hindshaw@gmail.com) or Alexandre Nieuwendam (alexandretn@gmail.com).r
